Jessica Lennartsson & Lennart Westerlund from Stockholm

We met Jessica around 10 years ago at Herräng Dance Camp in Sweden. She started to dance the 'Swedish Bugg' in 1990 and moved on with Doublebugg and Boogie Woogie. In 1999 she became a member of the Swedish national Boogie Woogie team, 2002 and 2003 she was two times World Champion and Swedish Champion in Boogie Woogie. She then became interested in Lindy Hop and in recent years she has also fell in love with Balboa too.

Jessica stood out of the masses because of her outstanding energy, her fast feed and her great performances in many different dancestyles. Lately she became a member of the Harlem Hot Shots (www.harlemhotshots.com).

We love her bubbling energy, as much in teaching as well as in her social dancing! And if you treat her with good Champagne and delicate Swiss Chocolate, she will most likely be the last to leave the dancefloor!

Lennart is the "culprit" of lindy hop revival par excellence!

In 1982 he saw the movie "Hellzapoppin" for the first time. He was so fascinated with those wild acrobatic dance scenes, that he decided to find the old dancers and to learn this crazy dance from them. It was 1983 when he finally went to New York, met  Al Minns in person and invited him to Sweden for the very first workshop. Through Al Minns he got to know Frankie Manning and because of him Norma Miller. The rest is history...

Lennart is a original member of one of the best Lindy Hop showdance company in the world: The Rhythm Hot Shots! Sweden, 1983 - this was the cradle of lindy hop revival! Same place, one year later -1984- one of the few professional Lindy Hop showgroups in the world - The Rhythm Hot Shots- was founded. In 2002 The Harlem Hot Shots took over the image of The Rhythm Hot Shots. And again, nobody else then Lennart was the moving spirit!

Furthermore, Lennart is also the main initiator of the Herraeng Dance Camp, which exists since 1982 and every summer attracts a great number of dancers from all over the world. Lennart is especially known for his unforgettable "Daily Meetings", which he moderates with his really dry but extremely intelligent humour, that hasn't lost its edge over the years.
