Friday, 14 April 9:30pm at Silbando (Förrlibuckstrasse 62) in Zürich

Folks, here's a story 'bout Minnie the Moocher
She was a red-hot hoochie-coocher
She was the roughest, toughest frail
But Minnie had a heart as big as a whale

It was late in the 1920ies or at the beginning of the 1930ies when the song was first recorded by Cab Calloway and his Cotton Club Orchestra. The song was immediately loved by the audience for its interacting sequences:

Hi-dee hi-dee hi-dee hi (hi-dee hi-dee hi-dee hi)

The tune never lost its charm (1932 in a cartoon, 1958 and 1980). So on Friday, the 14th 2017 we will resurrect Minnie the Moocher once more. Natty Congeroo & the Flames of Rhythm are playing live on stage at Silbando. There program is a secret, even to us but who knows what will inspire the flamboyant singer and his band… ;). More music is played for you by grand DJ Wuthe and others and we wouldn’t be surprised to meet an Easter bunny hopping around the corner in the morning looking for the source of a catchy Swing tune.

Live on stage: Natty Congeroo & the Flames of Rhythm

Swing DJ's: Our residents and of course, our special guest DJ Stephan Wuthe from Berlin!

DRESSCODE:
It’s the white tuxedo and the Charleston dress we want to see you in. Let yourself inspire the 20ies and the very early 30ies.

For the Ladies:  cloche hats, flapper dress, elegant headbands (decorated with feathers), noble gloves are just some accessories you might to put on.

You might find some inspiration here or here.

For the Gentlemen: Envious eyes are guaranteed with a white tuxedo Calloway style. However, you can also go for Oxford bags, suspenders, a vest or a bow tie.

You might find some inspiration here.

Please note: We won’t check your every accessory for 20ies authenticity. But we expect you to come dressed up elegantly and suitably. Jeans, sneakers, track suit trousers and t-shirts are a no-go. And yes, our doorman is entitled to send you home, right away to change if you show up in your everyday clothes!

To dress up means to contribute to the unique atmosphere at our parties. The party location provides a small dressing room with a small mirror in case you need to change after your arrival. Thank you : )
